A. Description:
Badri cow is the first registered cattle breed of Uttarakhand which has been certified by the National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources (NBAGR). It grazes on the medicinal herbs of the Himalayas. It is far away from toxic pollution, polythene, and other harmful things that cows in the plains eat.
Badri cows produce 1 to 1.5 litre of milk every day. Its milk production is very less as compared to other cows but the quality of milk is very high. 1kg of Badri Cow Ghee is made from collecting 26-28 litres of milk. Gauraaj Badri Cow Ghee is made using traditional bilona method.
